Refunds

Assets are supplied exclusively to verified business purchasers. Once an Asset has been delivered, it cannot be returned, recalled or treated as unused because the Buyer may retain, copy, inspect, disclose or deploy the source code and associated information. Accordingly, except to the extent a remedy cannot lawfully be excluded, no refund, credit, cancellation or return is available after Delivery.

This applies to performance too, so read the engine's page before you pay. The Sale and Assignment Agreement governs (clauses 4 and 8). The Sale and Assignment Agreement supersedes prior website descriptions and discussions.

Before you buy

  • Every figure on an engine's page is labelled Measured by Vlaander or Stated in the catalogue, not measured.
  • Measured figures list the date, the hardware, the compiler and the SHA-256 of the source archive you would receive. The benchmark tools ship with the source, so you can rerun them after delivery; nothing can be run before purchase. Any performance data is illustrative only and not a guarantee of your results.
  • Stated figures are the catalogue's own. Third-party or catalogue information is provided for general identification only and has not been independently verified by Vlaander. It is not a promise, warranty, representation or guarantee of present or future performance.
  • Each page lists the open findings from Vlaander's review. Ask sales@vlaander.com anything before you pay.

If the delivery itself fails

Within five business days after Delivery, you may notify Vlaander of a material delivery failure: only that the delivered file is missing, materially corrupted or does not match the SHA-256 hash in Schedule 1 of your agreement. Your sole remedy for a timely, proven failure is re-delivery of the asset; if Vlaander cannot re-deliver, it may, at its option, refund the amount actually received for that asset. There is no inspection or trial period for suitability, performance, compatibility or anything else.

When we refund before delivery

Your payment is refunded in full if, before your source is delivered:

  • the asset is sold to another buyer first (each asset is sold once); or
  • Vlaander cancels the order or cannot deliver it.

Vlaander screens every buyer, and for USDC payments the sending wallet, against sanctions and other risk lists. It may refuse an order, hold delivery or payment, and make any report the law requires.

How refunds are paid

  • Naira: to the bank account the transfer came from.
  • USDC: A USDC refund is made only after identity and sanctions review, only to the verified wallet the payment came from, and only where returning it is lawful and technically practicable. Vlaander does not send refunds to a different wallet on an email instruction. Where the originating wallet can’t be used or the payment can’t lawfully be returned, Vlaander may use another lawful method after enhanced verification, or suspend the refund pending compliance clearance. No reversal is promised where law, sanctions or an investigation prevents it.
